The similarity renormalization group for three-body interactions in one dimension

چکیده
We report on recent progress of the implementation of the similarity renormalization group (SRG) for three-body interactions in a one-dimensional, bosonic model system using the planewave basis. We discuss our implementation of the flow equations and show results that confirm that results in the three-body sector remain unchanged by the transformation of the Hamiltonian. We also show how the SRG transformation decouples lowfrom high-momentum nodes in the three-body sector and therefore simplifies the numerical calculation of observables.

In-medium similarity renormalization group for nuclei.
We present a new ab initio method that uses similarity renormalization group (SRG) techniques to continuously diagonalize nuclear many-body Hamiltonians. In contrast with applications of the SRG to two- and three-nucleon interactions in free space, we perform the SRG evolution "in medium" directly in the A-body system of interest. The in-medium approach has the advantage that one can approximat...
متن کاملTime-Dependent Real-Space Renormalization Group Method
In this paper, using the tight-binding model, we extend the real-space renormalization group method to time-dependent Hamiltonians. We drive the time-dependent recursion relations for the renormalized tight-binding Hamiltonian by decimating selective sites of lattice iteratively. The formalism is then used for the calculation of the local density of electronic states for a one dimensional quant...
متن کاملA NUMERICAL RENORMALIZATION GROUP APPROACH FOR AN ELECTRON-PHONON INTERACTION
A finite chain calculation in terms of Hubbard X-operators is explored by setting up a vibronic Harniltonian. The model conveniently transformed into a form so that in the case of strong coupling a numerical renormalization group approach is applicable. To test the technique, a one particle Green function is calculated for the model Harniltonian
متن کاملThe Unitary Correlation Operator Method from a Similarity Renormalization Group Perspective
The Unitary Correlation Operator Method (UCOM) (see [1] and references therein), was devised as a means to describe the correlations induced by the short-range repulsion and the tensor force of modern realistic NN interactions by an explicit unitary transformation. One obtains a phase-shift equivalent correlated interaction VUCOM which exhibits a dramatically improved convergence behavior in pr...
متن کاملEffective Three-Body Interactions in the UCOM Framework
We investigate the influence of phenomenological threebody forces supplementing unitarily transformed two-body potentials. For interactions constructed within the Unitary Correlation Operator Method (UCOM) the short-range central and tensor correlations induced by the nuclear interaction are treated explicitly by a unitary transformation. The character of the correlations is encapsulated in the...
